It should be noted that not only did they keep the incompatibility phrase, but they further restricted the affirmation of sexual relations to the covenant of monogamous, heterosexual marriage. The church has made the text much more hurtful and taken out several passages of tender care. I am leaving the Methodist Church. They cannot change.
