Walking Over The Wounded

From the MFSA Daily Social Questions Bulletin:

Yesterday the General Conference walked over gay and lesbian people. Today you will have to do it again. As you enter the hall to determine how you will make disciples for the transformation of the world, you will leave behind you those who lie wounded by the wayside. Have you heard the cries of God's beloved? Have you asked forgiveness for the pain you have caused, even as you have spoken of your own pain experienced in the wounding of others and called for prayer to comfort the broken-hearted? "Business as usual" should not be an option. The body of Christ is broken.

Please be advised: they cut the live feed during the protest this morning-- didn't even let the Bishop finish speaking. Those of us watching from afar saw nothing.

Please, if anyone taped it, get that puppy up on YouTube or something! I am horrified that the Comm team would censor in this way. They got a nasty email from me, but more action will be needed.

With love and solidarity,
Becca Clark
